He proudly served in the United States Air Force from May 1997 through March 2009. Minot was his first duty station from 1997 through 2000 where he was a member of the 5th Bomb Wing. He was later assigned to the USAF Det 2 NATO Unit, Izmir Air Base, 353rd Special Operations Group at Kadena Air Base, and finally Mountain Home Air Force Base. The military allowed him to not only travel the world but to further his education. He earned an undergraduate degree in Mass Communication in 2006 from the University of Maryland Europe.
Larry acquired his first business, French Entertainment LLC, while in Japan in July 2006. He successfully promoted Hip Hop and R & B artists for 3 years.
After an Honourable Discharge from the USAF, Larry decided to pursue a career in acting and modeling. He worked as a model from June 2010 to February 2012. He was selected to represent men’s fashion at the iconic New York Fashion Week and made a name for himself on the runway. He appeared in several local and international commercials, including commercials for The Art Institute and Doritos. In addition to appearing in independent films, Larry also appeared in several music videos.
Larry made Minot his final home in 2012. He has resided in North Dakota for 12 years. Larry got his CDL in 2011 and began driving semi-truck in North Dakota. He is currently hauling fuel/propane.
He became a state certified official in 2012. He officiates youth, high school, and college basketball for Minot and several cities/towns throughout North Dakota.
Larry’s son graduated from Forsyth Technical College with a degree in IT Programming and Software Development – Computer Programming. Larry has a daughter who is pursuing a modeling and music career. Larry enjoys playing basketball, motorcycling, spending time at the gun range, rollerblading, and watching sports.
As an official for youth basketball, he has had an opportunity to listen to the area youth. He heard from them that there was little for them to do, especially in the winter months. Having a keen head for business, Larry has now turned his passion and motivation toward owning and operating a successful roller-skating rink and family entertainment center.
He is the sole-owner of Masquerades Family Entertainment Center, LLC which was incorporated in North Dakota in September 2020. The business mission is to provide affordable indoor fun for the entire family by combining fun and togetherness under one roof. Larry has been a member of the Roller-Skating Association since June 2019.
